FREE NCS IN THE COMMUNITY PROGRAMME

The National Citizen Service in the Community award is a FREE 48 hour programme giving participants vital Life Skills, Employability Skills and Social Action.  Students sign up for free and can choose which sections they do to complete their programme.

Upon completion students will receive an NCS Certificate. 

 

The NCS project is open to the following ages - 

​

14 years (BUT MUST BE 15 BEFORE AUGUST 31st 2024).
15 years (BUT MUST BE 16 BEFORE AUGUST 31st 2025).
16 and 17 years of age.

The NCS programme is made up of 48 hours of inputs and below are examples of current experiences.

Muay Thai

Increase your life skills by participating and learning Muay Thai - whether this is a new skill or you are building on previous experience, there is plenty to gain. 

 

Training Muay Thai will encompass self-confidence, healthy life choices, teamwork, and enable learning new skills.

This is your chance to engage and give back to the community - from various volunteering opportunities to sponsored events the choices are vast - gain valuable experience and make meaningful life long memories

Boxing Leaders Qualification

The Boxing Leader course is a non-contact Olympic-style boxing programme, delivered over one day.

​

It is a recommended first step onto the pathway to becoming a boxing coach.

First Aid Kit

First Aid

The First Aid training course, which conforms with HSE guidance, provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations.
